What to wear?
You will feel most comfortable in light clothing which does not restrict movement – something similar to what you would wear to bike, run, climb, etc. Practice is done in bare feet.

How long is a private lesson?
One hour unless you request a longer class.

How often should I practice?
As often as you like depending on what your requirements are. If you want to see results in tone, flexibility and strength, then 2-3 times a week is recommended.

Can I eat before a class?
It is recommended that you don’t eat 2-3 hours before, however a small snack is fine an hour before e.g fruit, yoghurt.

Do I need a yoga mat?
Yes. I do have mats you can use when you first start, should you wish to continue it is necessary to have your own for hygiene reasons.  I supply mats for corporate clients if required.

What does ‘Namaste’ mean?
Often said at the end of a yoga class, it is a hindu word used upon greeting and/or parting, in yoga it’s ‘an honoring of spirits’.

What is yoga?
Yoga is a science 5,000+ years old and not a religion. Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning “union” or “bring together” – it is an ancient practice of self-discovery, uniting the body, mind, and spirit to find peace and contentment.
