What to
wear?
You will feel most comfortable in light clothing
which does not restrict movement – something similar
to what you would wear to bike, run, climb, etc.
Practice is done in bare feet.
How long is a private lesson?
One hour unless you request a longer class.
How often should I practice?
As often as you like depending on what your
requirements are. If you want to see results in
tone, flexibility and strength, then 2-3 times a
week is recommended.
Can I eat before a class?
It is recommended that you don’t eat 2-3 hours
before, however a small snack is fine an hour before
e.g fruit, yoghurt.
Do I need a yoga mat?
Yes. I do have mats you can use when you first
start, should you wish to continue it is necessary
to have your own for hygiene reasons. I supply
mats for corporate clients if required.
What does ‘Namaste’ mean?
Often said at the end of a yoga class, it is a hindu
word used upon greeting and/or parting, in yoga it’s
‘an honoring of spirits’.
What is yoga?
Yoga is a science 5,000+ years old and not a
religion. Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning “union” or
“bring together” – it is an ancient practice of
self-discovery, uniting the body, mind, and spirit
to find peace and contentment. |
